Coffee That Invests in the People Who Grow It
Exceptional coffee and genuine community
investment are the same thing.
We believe that exceptional coffee and genuine community
investment are not separate hings. They are the same thing.
You cannot have one without the other.
Cantón El Brujo – THE COMMUNITY
Cantón El Brujo is the rural community surrounding Finca El Jaguar located in the highlands of Metapán, northwest of Parque Nacional Montecristo and near the Guatemalan border. Access requires a 3 to 4 kilometer walk from the nearest road, with goods and harvested coffee moved by pack animal.
This level of isolation shapes everything about life in this community. The families here farmers, their partners, their children live and work in a place that formal infrastructure, educational resources, and economic opportunity have largely passed by. That is exactly why we are here.
Children First
Our primary focus is the children of the Metapan farming communities – the sons and daughters of the families who grow the coffee you buy.
A portion of every Aroma Madre sale goes directly toward programs designeato expand those opportunities: school supplies, educationalpartnerships, community learning initiatives, and long-terminvestments in the futures of the kids who will inherit these
farms.
The Community Around the Farms
The impact of Finca El Jaguar extends beyond the farm gates,
supporting the local community of Metapån: neighbors,
seasonal workers, suppliers, and families whose livelihoods
are connected to our long term investments.
Women & Families
Our impact focus extends specifically to women and families within the community. Coffee farming is family work, and the women of Cantón El Brujo play a central role in it often while also managing the household and raising children in a remote, resource-limited environment. Aroma Madre’s community programs are designed with women and families at the center, not as an afterthought.
Transparency
We believe you should be able to see exactly where your money goes. As we grow, we will publish annual impact reports documenting how funds have been spent, which programs were supported, and what measurable outcomes we’ve achieved. We won’t claim more than we’ve done, and we won’t hide what we haven’t done yet
Community Funding Campaign
We currently have a growing group of customers who are actively participating in a campaign to direct a percentage of purchase proceeds straight to Cantón El Brujo. This is not a future plan it is already in motion. The enthusiasm around Aroma Madre from early buyers reflects a genuine appetite to connect commerce with community, and we are building the structures to make sure those funds land with real impact.
We are also working to partner with established community development organizations to help design, structure, and execute these programs — so that when funds are deployed, they are channeled effectively, transparently, and with measurable outcomes.
OUR APPROACH DESIGN BEFOR EXECUTION
